HOUSTON — A woman claims she suffered serious injuries after slipping on a pool of water near the nurses station at Houston Methodist Hospital.
Alicia Williams filed a complaint May 27 in Harris County District Court against The Methodist Hospital doing business as Houston Methodist Hospital alleging neglience.
Williams claims that she was at Houston Methodist Hospital on Fannin Street on Aug. 7 2019. She alleges that she slipped and fell "in a pool of water" that was on the floor near a nursing station and suffered "substantial injuries."
Williams claims that the defendants were negligent in failing to maintain their premises in a safe manner, failing to warn of the hazard and for failing to properly train its employees. She also claims the defendants failed to "timely and properly" remove the liquid and allowed the area to "remain in a dangerous state."
Williams also claims she has suffered mental anguish, loss of earnings and disability as a result of the accident.
Williams seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by John Caston and Michael Tilton of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
