Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP issued the following announcement on June 22.
Pillsbury has earned its 13th consecutive inclusion on Seramount’s (formerly Working Mother Media) Best Law Firms for Women list. The annual list recognized 50 firms this year that establish women-friendly workplaces and use best practices for retaining and promoting women lawyers and advancing work-life flexibility.
“We know that women have left the workplace in droves since the onset of COVID-19,” said Subha V. Barry, CEO of Seramount. “But the fact that representation of women equity partners, and women lawyers overall, has increased during this turbulent time just shows how supportive our Best Law Firms for Women are to parents and caregivers. They stepped up and offered increased flexibility and new benefit programs to help this critical talent pool balance both work and homelife.”
Seramount’s 2021 Best Law Firms for Women application included more than 300 questions about attorney demographics at different levels, schedule flexibility, paid time off, parental leave and development and retention of women. This year, in light of COVID-19, several questions were asked about the success of working from home for lawyers.
In addition to the firm’s consecutive inclusion on the Best Law Firms for Women list, Pillsbury has been honored by Seramount as one of the Best Companies for Multicultural Women and, year after year, a Top Company for Executive Women. The publication has honored the firm as one of the 100 Best Companies for working parents over a dozen times, and, in 2019, included Pillsbury as a member of its exclusive inaugural law firm Hall of Fame class.
