HOUSTON — A worker unloading a delivery trailer at George Bush International alleges he suffered injuries when the trailer driver drove away while he was still working inside.

Jose Mendoza filed a complaint June 30 in Harris County District Court against Michael Lewis Company alleging negligence.

Mendoza alleges in his complaint that he was working inside a delivery trailer at George Bush International Airport on July 16, 2019. He claims that while still inside the trailer, the defendant's agents drove the trailer away and caused him to fall and suffer injuries. Mendoza alleges he has also suffered mental anguish, lost wages and incurred medical treatment expenses as a result of the accident. He claims the defendant's driver failed to keep a proper lookout and control the vehicle and that defendants failed to properly train their delivery vehicle drivers.

Mendoza seeks monetary relief of less than $75,000, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Kevin Adley and Gilbert Garza of The Adley Law Firm LTD LLP in Houston.
