Man suffers permanent, disabling injuries after fall down stairs at Houston apartment, suit claims

HOUSTON — A man claims he suffered permanent and disabling injuries after falling down the stairs at a Houston apartment complex. 

Tristan Green filed a complaint July 15 in Harris County District Court against Kastle Regal Pointe LLC alleging negligence. 

According to his complaint, Green, who was 36 years old at the time, was at Kastle Regal Pointe on Willowbend in Houston on Nov. 23, 2020. He alleges that as he was walking down the stairs, when he "suddenly and unexpectedly" tripped and fell down the stairs and suffered "severe and permanent" injuries. 

Specifically, Green claims as a result of the fall, he suffered disfigurement, physical impairment, lost earnings and also incurred expenses for medical, hospital and medication costs.  Green claims the defendant allowed "the dangerous stairs" to exist which posed "an unreasonable risk of harm," failed to warn of the hazard or exercise reasonable care to reduce or eliminate the hazard. 

Green seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
