HOUSTON — A Brazoria County woman claims an employee of the pest control company she hired stole personal items from her residence.

Demetrius Flowler filed a complaint July 22 in Harris County District Court against Hawx Pest Control, Hawx Services LLC, Hawx Services LLC doing business as Hawx Pest Control, Hawx LLC doing business as Hawx Pest Control and Hawx Pest Control (Utah) alleging breach of contract, fraud and other claims.

Flowler alleges in her complaint that she entered into a contract with the defendants on July 23, 2019, for pest control services. She claims that the defendant's employees/agents took "several personal items" without her consent and that they have "failed and refused" to "respond or return" the items.

Flowler claims the defendant breached the implied warranty of "good and workmanlike" pest control services, frauduently represented that they would "only perform pest control services" inside her residence and that they failed to properly investigate, hire, train, supervise or fire its employees who caused her damage

Flowler seeks monetary relief of at least $30,000, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
