HOUSTON — A man who slipped on plastic wrap on the floor of a marble and tile business in Houston and suffered injuries is claiming negligence.

Noe Joel Blanco filed a complaint Aug. 6 in Harris County District Court against Central Marble & Tile Inc., alleging negligence.

Blanco was at the Central Marble & Tile located on Paul Quinn Street in Houston on July 26, 2020, according to his suit. He alleges that while on the premises, he tripped and fell on plastic wrap that had been discarded on the floor while holding a case of tiles.

Blanco claims one of the defendant's employees had discarded the plastic wrap and that Central Marble & Tile failed to clean up the items on the floor and keep their floor surface in clean condition. He also claims Central Marble & Tile failed to warn of the dangerous condition and failed to train its employees to properly manage the premises. Blanco alleges as a result of the fall, he suffered physical pain, disfigurement, impairment, loss of earning capacity as well as incurred medical expenses.

Blanco seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Mathew Stano and Jason Brooks of The Stano Law Firm in Humble.
