HOUSTON — A woman claims a Houston auto dealer rolled back the odometer on the Mazda she purchased, repossessed the car and stole cash and personal property out of the vehicle.

Ana Villanueva filed a complaint Aug. 11 in Harris County District Court against Cabello Auto Sales LLC, Roxanna Cabello and Robert Ali also known as Roberto Ali, also known as Roberto Ali-son also known as Roberto James alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Villanueva alleges in her complaint that she purchased a 2010 Mazda from the defendants. She claims in her suit that the defendants "illegally rolled the odometer back" on the vehicle and that after being "caught red-handed," the defendants attempted to "intimidate and threaten her" and "cover-up their criminal conduct."

Villanueva further alleges the defendants failed to refund her money and after having the car repossessed, stole her Air Pods and $105 in cash from the car. She claims the defendants' actions are in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and constitute fraud and theft.

Villanueva seeks monetary relief of less than $100,000, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Harry Herzog and Lauren McCollum of Herzog & Carp in Katy.
