HOUSTON — A woman alleges her crown restorations and dental implant replacements were done negligently and without proper bone support which caused her to suffer injuries.

Linda A. Bowen filed a complaint Aug. 30 in Harris County District Court against David B. Fisher, M.D., alleging negligence.

Bowen underwent dental surgeries performed by Fisher in October and November of 2019, including "maxillary prosthesis" and crown restorations to replace and fix her pre-existing dental implants.

She alleges that her restorations were placed over her failing implants with "grossly insufficient bone support" and that he ignored the advice of a periodontist and allowed her prosthesis to be made through an unlicensed laboratory technician. Bowen claims the crown restorations were found to have plaque, calculus and stripped threads and that she will require further specialized dental treatment and endure additional pain and suffering.

Bowen seeks monetary relief of $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Justin Williams and Sean Williams of Williams Attorneys PLLC in Corpus Christi.
