HOUSTON — A man is alleging false imprisonment after his car keys were taken and his vehicle was blocked in following a disagreement with a co-worker.

Paul Anthony Jones filed a complaint Sept. 14 in Harris County District Court against J.B. Hunt Transportation, Aaron Zenon and Dwayne Lowery alleging false imprisonment.

Jones was hired by TMD Staffing on Aug. 18, 2019 and was assigned as a temporary worker for J.B. Hunt to help its employee Lowery, according to his complaint. He alleges that on Sept. 13, 2019, he and Lowery had a disagreement and that Lowery took the keys out of the ignition to his truck.

Jones further alleges that Zenon then parked a vehicle behind his Chevy Impala in the parking lot of J.B. Hunt so that he could not leave. Jones claims that on Sept. 27, 2019, a misdemeanor theft charge was filed against him and that he was held on bond until Oct. 15, 2019 with the judge finding no probable cause. He alleges the defendants intentionally used physical barriers, force and threats to confine and restraint him which caused physical and emotional injuries.

Jones seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Leticia Longmiles in Houston.
