HOUSTON — A woman is claiming negligence after slipping on a spill on the floor of Houston Comfort Suites.

Natasha Lyons filed a complaint Sept. 27 in Harris County District Court against Sai Kana Inc., doing business as Comfort Suites Houston I-45 North alleging negligence.

Lyons claims in her suit that she was at the Comfort Suites on North Freeway in Houston on May 18, 2021, when she fell on a spill that was on the floor. She alleges as a result of the fall, she suffered injuries including physical impairment, mental anguish and loss of earnings as well as incurred medical treatment expenses.

Lyons claims the Comfort Suites' negligence for failing to reasonably maintain their premies and keep it safe for people on the property. She also claims the Comfort Suites failed to have any polices or procedures in place or to instruct their employees on how to make the premises safe.

Lyons seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Abraham Garcia, Carlos Saldana and Brandon Kindard of The KGS Law Group in Houston.
