HOUSTON — A woman alleges negligent medical care and being discharged before she was medically stable caused her injuries. 

Vicki Lynn Scott frequently known as Vicki Scott Dawson filed a complaint Sept. 30 in Harris County District Court against Terah Isaacson, M.d., and Bayou City Surgical Specialist PLLC alleging negligence. 

The plaintiff alleges in her complaint that she sought treatment at St. Joseph's Medical Center on Feb. 17, 2020. She claims the defendants' negligent care, including being discharged before she was medically stable, resulted in her suffering severe, disabling injuries that required additional surgeries and hospitalization. 

The plaintiff also claims she suffered mental anguish, physical impairment and incurred expenses for medical, custodial and attendant care expenses. She alleges the negligence of Isaacson who was acting as an agent or employee of Bayou City Surgical Specialists. 

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief greater than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Christoper King and Hartley Hampton of Hampton & King PLLC in Houston.
