HOUSTON - Tony Buzbee is claiming fellow trial lawyer Tammy Tran owes him $1 million, while Tran, on the other hand, asserts he’s been paid in full.
Buzbee filed a petition for confession of judgment against Tran and her law firm on Dec. 20 in Harris County District Court, claiming they have defaulted and owe him $1 million on a promissory note dated April 17, 2015.
Court records show that Tran filed an answer and a counterclaim on Dec. 21, withdrawing consent to the confused judgment asserted by Buzbee.
Tran claims Buzbee has been paid in full.
Buzbee is represented by James Eloi Doyle and Sarah Allen, attorneys for the Houston law firm of Doyle Restrepo Harvin & Robbins.
