HOUSTON — A woman alleges she slipped on a puddle of water at a Houston business and suffered serious injuries.

Laura Keller filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Harris County District Court against Center Holdings LP doing business as The Center alleging negligence.

Keller alleges in her complaint that while at the defendant's building on Southwest Freeway in Houston on Sept. 30, 2021, she slipped on a "puddle of liquid" that was near the entrance. She claims she fell to the ground and suffered serious injuries.

Keller also claims in her suit that the The Center was negligent for failing to maintain its premises specifically the floor, ceiling and walkways, failed to inspect its premises and failed to correct the dangerous condition. She also claims The Center failed to inform her of the dangerous condition or take reasonable measures to safeguard those who were on their premises.

Keller seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Karan Joshi of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
