HOUSTON — A motor home dealer is facing a claim it sold a defective vehicle with numerous defects.

Sotirios Papadopulos filed a complaint  Dec. 31 in Harris County District Court against Thor Motor Coach Inc., alleging breach of warranty and violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The plaintiff alleges that he purchased a new 2020 Thor Venetian B42 from Motor Home Specialists RV in Alvardo on Aug. 5, 2020. He claims the motor home had numerous defects including the failure of the AC unit, the washing machine not working, headlights not properly adjusted, navigator map screen errors, hot water heater failure and panel door becoming separated.

In addition, he claims the motor home had coolant leak, excessive rust, water leak and had a engine overheating. The plaintiff alleges the issues with the motor home occurred during the warranty coverage period with his complaints and correspondence often being unanswered by the defendants and that the vehicle is "essentially unusable."

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Christopher Agboli of Hughes Watters Askanase LLP in Houston.
