Harris County man claims accumulated water on floor of Houston business caused his fall

HOUSTON — A Harris County man claims accumulate water on the floor of a Houston business caused him to suffer injuries. 

Norman Clark filed a complaint Jan. 19 in Harris County District Court against Cloudbreak Houston LLC individually and doing business as Cloudbreak Communities alleging premises liability. 

Clark, according to his suit, was at the defendant's property on Main Street in Houston on June 16, 2021. He alleges that there was a slippery substance that had accumulated on the floor which caused him to slip, fall and suffer injuries. 

Clark claims the defendant's premises posed an unreasonable risk of harm and that they failed to maintain the area in a safe manner. He further claims that at least one of the defendant's employees was aware of the hazard and failed to adequately warn him or correct the dangerous condition. Clark also claims as a result of his slip and fall, he suffered pain, mental anguish, impairment, lost wages and incurred medical expenses. 

Clark seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by David Mestemaker, Norman Straub and Jonathan Zumwalt of Mestemaker, Straub & Zumwalt in Houston.
