HOUSTON — A crew member alleges he suffered injuries while evacuating a vessel during a fire.

Lo Pham filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Harris County Court against Lady Tina Corporation alleging negligence.

Pham was working as a crew member aboard the defendant's F/V Lady Tina on Jan. 28, according to his complaint. He alleges that while the vessel was moored, it caught fire and that he suffered severe and permanent injuries while evacuating the burning vessel.

Pham claims the defendant was negligent for failing to provide and maintain reasonably safe equipment, or have adequate safety measures. He further claims the defendant were negligent for not providing adequate medical treatment and failing to hire a qualified crew and proper supervision.

Pham alleges negligent orders by the vessel's captain, that the defendant failed to maintain a seaworthy vessel and operated the vessel with an inadequate crew.

Pham seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Joseph Terry and L. Lee Thweatt of Terry & Thweatt PC in Houston.
