Customer alleges wet floor caused her fall at Wild Wings restaurant

HOUSTON — A woman claims she slipped on water that was on the floor of the bathroom at a Wild Wings restaurant in Shenandoah and suffered injuries. 

Cynthia Nicklus filed a complaint May 4 in Harris County District Court against United Restaurant Holdings LLC alleging premises liability and negligence. 

Nicklus, according to her complaint was at the defendant's Wild Wings restaurant in Shenandoah on June 23, 2021. She claims that while on the premises, she slipped on a puddle of water in the bathroom, fell and suffered injuries. 

She claims the defendant knew or reasonably should have known the condition posed an unreasonable risk of harm and breached their duty of ordinary care by not blocking access to the hazard. Nicklus alleges the defendant was also negligent for failing to warn of the dangerous condition and failing to remedy the condition. She claims as a result of her fall, she suffered pain, impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of earnings and incurred medical care expenses. 

Nicklus seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Bradford Leigh of The Leigh Law Firm in Woodlands.
