Eli Kiefaber has joined the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as Of Counsel. Practicing out of the Woodlands office, he joins the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources Department, focusing his practice on mineral title issues and property matters along with business litigation.

Kiefaber has vast experience preparing drilling title opinions, division order title opinions, supplemental title opinions, and acquisition title opinions. Alongside this he also has a breadth of knowledge in complex business litigation where he has represented Fortune 500 companies in environmental litigation, real property disputes, breach of contract matters, and a variety of other business disputes in state and federal courts.
Kiefaber is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer from 2019 through 2022 in the area of Energy and Natural Resources Law. He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College.
