HOUSTON — A woman alleges she suffered burns on her hand and arm at a restaurant in Harris County.

Priscilla Garza filed a complaint July 21 in Harris County District Court against Jubrano's Kitchen alleging premises liability and negligence.

Garza, according to her complaint, was at Jurbrano's Kitchen on July 30, 2021. She alleges she burned her hand and arm and suffered serious injuries as a result of "dangerous conditions" created on the defendant's premises. Garza claims the dangerous condition on the defendant's premises posed an unreasonable risk of harm and that they knew or should have known of the hazard.

She further claims the defendant had a legal duty to exercise reasonable care in operating, maintaining and inspecting the premises. Garza also claims the defendants failed to warn of or correct the dangerous condition. Garza alleges as a result of her injuries, she suffered pain, physical disfigurement, mental anguish and incurred medical bills and expenses.

Garza seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Anjali Charma and J. Terrelle Bynum of Roberts Markland LLP in Houston.
