HOUSTON – Bradley Arant Boult Cummings has announced that Whitney Wester has joined the firm’s Houston office as an associate in the Litigation and Construction practice groups, a press release states.
“Whitney has demonstrated a unique ability to work with clients across a variety of industries on large, complex matters as an independent practitioner, as well as with the support of a team,” said Bradley Houston Office Managing Partner Ian P. Faria. “Her attention to detail and strategic approach to litigation will make her an asset to our team and our clients.”
According to the press release, Wester represents plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of litigation in both state and federal court, and regularly manages matters involving real estate, contracts and asset recovery. Her experience includes defending complex litigations, including multidistrict litigations and class action cases, conducting internal investigations for corporations, advising corporations on data privacy regulation compliance and litigation, and handling regulatory matters involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and its international counterparts. Wester has also litigated international matters and cross-border disputes involving real estate, commercial contracts, and criminal law.
Prior to joining Bradley, Wester successfully tried more than 50 cases to jury verdict as a felony prosecutor for the State of Texas and was a regular guest speaker at various legal education seminars for law enforcement officials and attorneys.
Wester graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center. She also is a cum laude graduate of West Texas A&M University where she received her B.M.
