GALVESTON — A man alleges he was attacked by intoxicated patrons at a bar in San Leon.
Jeremy Cochran filed a complaint Aug. 8 in Galveston County District Court against Mike's Saloon LLC doing business as The Saloon alleging negligence.
Cochran alleges in his complaint that he was at The Saloon on East Bay Shore Drive in San Leon on Dec. 20, 2020, to pick up a female friend who "feared for her safety." He claims when he arrived at The Saloon, there was an active fight and that he was "viciously" attacked by intoxicated patrons and suffered serious injuries. Cochran alleges The Saloon's negligence for failing to properly train and supervise its employees.
He also alleges the defendant failed to monitor security cameras, properly respond to disruptive behavior at the bar, failing to have security guards or bouncers and failing to prevent its customers from being injured. Cochran claims The Saloon was also negligent for failing to be attentive and use ordinary care and prudence. He alleges as a result of his assault, he suffered pain, impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.
Cochran seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Randall Sorrels and Jessica Rodriguez of Sorrels Law in Houston.
