HOUSTON — A Union Pacific conductor alleges he suffered injuries while being transported to a train.
Jason McLucas filed a complaint Sept. 12 in Harris County District Court against Union Pacific Railroad Company alleging negligence.
McLucas alleges in his complaint that on Aug. 17, 2021, while working as a railroad conductor for Union Pacific, he suffered injuries while being transported to a train. He claims the Union Pacific employee driving the transport, failed to wait for a train to clear the vehicle crossing, reversed course and went around the train and slammed into a telephone/light pole.
McLucas alleges as a result of the accident, he suffered injuries to his neck and back. He claims Union Pacific's negligence for failing to provide a reasonably safe place to work, failing to warn of the dangerous condition and for failing to provide him with safe transportation. McLucas alleges he also suffered lost wages and incurred medical expenses as a result of the accident.
McLucas seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Clint McGuire and Jeff McGuire of Martinez & McGuire PLLC in Houston.
