HOUSTON — A patient alleges his physician's negligence during hernia surgery caused him to suffer a hematoma and other issues.

Donald Scott Vradenburgh filed a complaint against Joey M. Bluhm, M.D., and Southwest Surgical Associates LLP alleging negligence.

According to Vradenburgh's complaint, he underwent surgery for hernia repair in his groin and abdominal area peformed by Bluhm. He claims that as a result of Bluhm's neglience, he suffered pain from a hematoma and a mass that had formed under his testicles. Vradenburgh alleges Bluhm breached the standard of care which caused him to suffer months of "excruciating" pain, swelling of his testicle that was the size of a small grapefruit, impaired walking as well as impaired sexual performance.

He further alleges that he required hydrocele surgery to correct the issues from his original hernia surgery and suffered lost wages, impairment, disfigurement and mental anguish.

Vradenburgh seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Richard Browne in Conroe.
