HOUSTON — A woman who suffered injuries from a dog attack is claiming negligence against the dog's owners and owners of the property where the attack took place.

Juliette Stinson filed a complaint Oct. 24 in Harris County District Court against Randall's Food and Drugs LP, Safeway Inc., doing business as Randall's Food and Pharmacy, Albertsons Companies LLC, Shantell Henderson and Ashley Morgan alleging negligence and other claims.

Stinson alleges in her complaint that she was "violently" attacked and bit on the face by Henderson and Morgan's dog that was on property owned by Safeway, Albertson's and Randall's located on Fry Road in Katy. She claims the defendants knew the dog was aggressive and that another Safeway employee was also attacked prior to her incident, yet the dog was still allowed to remain on the premises.

Stinson claims the defendants' negligence for failing to constrain the dog, failing to properly train the dog to prevent its vicious behavior and for allowing the dog into close contact with people. She also claims the defendants were negligent for failing to warn of the dog's aggressive behavior. Stinson alleges she suffered disfigurement, impairment, lost earnings and incurred medical expenses as a result of the dog attack.

Stinson seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Jason McLaurin and Divya Raj of McLaurin Law PLLC in Houston.
