Global law firm Reed Smith announced that Erin England has joined the firm’s Financial Industry Group in Dallas, the latest in a series of important additions to the firm’s industry-leading global fund finance practice. England joins the firm from Katten Muchin Rosenman.
England structures and negotiates complex debt transactions for some of the world’s largest organizations. In addition to her fund finance expertise, England also has extensive real estate finance experience, including her representation of borrowers and lenders in construction loans and other real-estate secured loans involving virtually every type of property use — raw land acquisition, industrial properties, hotels, and office and retail space.
England’s lending clients include national banks, regional banks, and alternative lenders. She also represents borrowers of all shapes and sizes, including closely held and public entities, both domestic and international.
Additionally, England advises her clients on mergers and acquisitions financings across a wide range of industries, on deals which typically involve complex intercreditor relationships requiring subordinated and mezzanine debt arrangements.
“Over the last two years, we have made it a strategic priority to bring on exceptional legal talent that will further grow our fund finance and private credit practices in the U.S., as well as complement our existing team in the U.K., Europe, and Asia,” said Jodi Schwimmer, global co-chair of Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group. “Given the depth of her experience and her reputation among her lender and corporate clients for providing top-notch counsel on challenging finance and transactional matters, Erin is a fantastic fit for our team and we are thrilled that she has decided to bring her practice to Reed Smith.”
