Labor and employment partner Amanda Brown has been selected to participate in the Dallas Bar Association’s WE LEAD (Women Empowered to Lead in the Legal Profession) program.

Through the WE LEAD program, Brown will participate in a year-long curriculum focused on leadership skills, identifying and maximizing personal strengths, building business, and effective communication. She will also join a monthly mentoring circle with other women lawyers in Dallas.

“I am excited for the opportunity to learn from an accomplished group of lawyers and leaders, and look forward to developing my leadership skills through the WE LEAD program,” Brown says.

Brown represents employers in litigation, arbitration, and administrative agency actions involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, violations of leave law, violations of wage and hour law, whistleblower allegations, and breach of contract, under federal and state laws.

The association’s WE LEAD program addresses challenges faced by high-performing women who have practiced law for 8 to 15 years.

DBA WE LEAD is a series of four half-day sessions running from February 2023 to November 2023. It prepares participants for the unique challenges facing women in the legal profession; empowers, educates and uplifts women lawyers to take an already successful law practice to new heights; and prepares them for active professional leadership in their firms, the business world, and in the community at large.
