GALVESTON — A Galveston County home owner alleges a solar energy panel contractor has refuses to provide her with the battery to charge the panels.

Daralyn Johnson filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Galveston County District Court against Fastrac Energy Services LLC.

According to her complaint, Johnson entered into a contract with Fastrac Energy in October of 2021, for the installation of solar panels on her home in Galveston. She claims the contract price was $44,974.80 with $19,724.14 going for the battery to charge the panels.

Johnson claims she never received a working battery for the solar panels and that without the battery, the panels do not store energy and "serve no purpose." She alleges that she has made repeated attempts to resolve the issue with Fastrac Energy who have ignored her requests.

Johnson seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Joshua Stein in Houston.
