HOUSTON — A woman alleges her husband suffered from neglect while at a nursing home in Austin.
Sharon Cannon, on behalf of the Estate of Paul Cannon filed a complaint Jan. 29 in Harris County District Court against Rollingbrook Rehab LLC doing business as Rollingbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and Edwas Investment Group LP alleging medical negligence and other claims.
According to Cannon's complaint, her husband Paul was a resident at Rollingbrook from Jan. 11, 2022 through Feb. 16, 2022. She claims her husband was at increased risk for pressure ulcers due to certain medical conditions and that the defendants were aware of his risk. Cannon alleges that Rollingbrook failed to properly monitor and care for her husband which resulted in his suffering pressure ulcers.

Cannon alleges Rollingbrook neglected her husband and failed to provide the medical and nursing care reasonably required for her husband. She also alleges the defendant failed to provide supervision and training for its staff.
Cannon seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Curtis Clinesmith of Smith Clinesmith LLP in Dallas.
