HOUSTON — A woman claims oil on the floor of Fuel Depot in Houston caused her slip and fall.

Erika Raven filed a complaint Feb. 11 in Harris County District Court against Spectrum Retail LLC doing business as Fuel Depot #23 alleging liability.

Raven, according to her complaint, was at the Fuel Depot on Scott Street in Houston on June 22, 2022. She claims that while on the property, she slipped on oil near where she was pumping her gas and suffered injuries to her back, shoulder, arm, elbow and knee.

Raven alleges the defendants' negligence for failing to properly inspect and maintain the property and for failing to give adequate warnings of the unsafe condition on the flooring area. She also claims the defendants were negligent for failing to remove the oil that caused her slip and did not discover or remove the oil in a reasonable amount of time.

Raven alleges she suffered pain, lost earnings and incurred medical treatment costs as a result of her slip and fall.

Raven seeks monetary relief of $1 million or less, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Cheryl Phillips in Houston.
