Woman alleges serious infection from salon, sues California Nails

HOUSTON — A woman alleges she suffered a serious nail infection at a salon in the Houston Galleria Mall. 

Jamie Oliver filed a complaint Feb. 21 in Harris County District Court against Davi Nails Houston Galleria doing business as California Nails alleging negligence. 

Oliver, according to her complaint was at Davi Nails in the Houston Galleria Mall on Nov. 21, 2021. She claims that she suffered a severe nail infection as a result of the salon's poor hygiene practices. Oliver alleges Davi Nails failed to adequately maintain and operate their equipment, failing to remove the dangerous conditions on the premises and failed to warn of the dangerous condition. 

She also alleges Davi failed to properly hire, screen, train and supervise its employees or enforce safety rules and guidelines. Oliver claims she suffered disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical treatment expenses as a result of the infection. 

Oliver seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Matthew Mendoza and W. Clark Martin IV The Martin Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
