HOUSTON — A woman alleges a slippery floor at a Houston nail salon caused her fall.
Linda Herkshan filed a complaint Feb. 27 in Harris County District Court against Andy Nguyen, doing business as 7 Days Nails, alleging negligence.
Herkshan was at 7 Days Nails on Scott Street in Houston on May 1, 2021, according to her complaint. She alleges that as she was walking to the bathroom, she slipped on liquid near the washing machine and suffered injuries. Herkshan claims the defendant was negligent for allowing the salon to become dangerous and allowing the dangerous condition to exist.
She also claims the defendant's negligence for failing to keep the floor free of slippery conditions, failing to inspect the premises and for not giving adequate warning about the dangerous condition. Herkshan alleges she suffered disfigurement, lost earnings, impairment and incurred medical care costs as a result of her injuries.
Herkshan seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh, Pavel Savinov and Michael Alvarez of The Huynh Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
