HOUSTON — A BMW owner alleges a repair shop caused damage to his vehicle's engine.

Michael Walker filed a complaint Feb. 24 in Harris County District Court against BMW Clearance alleging negligent misrepresentation and other claims.

According to Walker's complaint, he took his BMW 528i to BMW Clear Lake for an oil change and brakes on Sept. 19, 2022. He claims the defendant told him there was a "program control units" recall on his vehicle and that he agreed for them to take care of the recall. Walker claims that he left his vehicle with the defendant and that when their driver picked him up to bring him back to BMW at Clear Lake, he was told his car's engine locked up on a test drive.

He further claims he was sent a video showing his vehicle torn down exposing the engine and that he never gave permission for the defendant to tear down the vehicle engine. Among Walker's other claims are the defendant did not have a mechanic who was capable of servicing his vehicle.

Walker seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Harrison Fisher of The Law Office of Harrison R. Fisher, Sr., in Houston.
