HOUSTON — A customer at a Checkers restaurant in Prairie View claims an unmarked curb caused her fall and injuries.
Karla Sanchez filed a complaint March 4 in Harris County District Court against Checkers, Central Business Inc., and FM 1098 Property Inc., alleging negligence.
Sanchez alleges in her complaint that she was at the Checkers on University Boulevard in Prairie View on July 18, 2021. She claims as she was leaving the restaurant, she took a step and tripped and fell due to an unmarked curb/disability ramp.
Sanchez alleges the defendants' negligence for allowing the continued existence of the dangerous condition and for failing to warn of the condition.
She also alleges the defendants employees knew or should have known of the hazard and that because of her fall, she suffered pain, disability, lost earnings, impairment, mental anguish and incurred medical treatment costs.
Sanchez seeks monetary of less than $250,000, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Adam Criaco of Craico & Samperi in Houston.
