GALVESTON — A homeowner is facing a liability claim after a pest control worker fell through the attic of the home and suffered injuries.

Charles Love filed a complaint March 20 in Galveston County District Court against David Zieba alleging premises liability.

According to Love's complaint, he was hired by Zieba for pest control services on Jan. 25, 2022. He alleges that as he was servicing the attic on the premises, he suddenly slipped and fell through the attic.

Love claims Zieba failed to warn him of the dangerous condition when he knew or should have known the hazard and failed to make the condition reasonably safe. He alleges as a result of his fall, he suffered pain, mental anguish, disfigurement, impairment, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.

Love seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Michael Rodriguez and Tej Paranjpe of Paranjpe Mahadass Ruemke LLP in Houston.
