HOUSTON — The City of Houston is facing a suit after a woman slipped in the terminal parking garage at George Bush Airport.

Susan Naiser and Todd Naiser filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against the City or Houston alleging liability and other claims.

The Naisers alleging in their complaint that they were in the terminal parking garage at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on June 7, 2022. They claim as Susan Naiser stepped exited their vehicle, she slipped on a "gravel-like substance" which caused her to fall and break her ankle.

They further claim Susan Naiser required transport by ambulance to a hospital and then required two orthopedic surgeries and physical rehabilitation. The Naisers allege the substance had fallen from the ceiling during repairs and had not been cleaned up.

They further allege the City of Houston failed to eliminate the or warn of the dangerous condition and that they knew or should have known of the hazard after the parking garage ceiling repair. The Naisers claim Susan Naiser suffered disfigurement, impairment, lost wages and incurred medical care expenses as a result of her fall.

The Naisers seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Kelly Greenwood Prather of The Greenwood Prather Law Firm PC in Houston.
