HOUSTON — A woman alleges she slipped on a liquid substance that was left on the floor the food court at the Deerbrook Mall in Humble.
Elaine Vl Robertson filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against Deerbrook Mall LLC alleging negligence.
According to her complaint, Robertson was at the Deerbrook Mall in Humble on March 19, 2021. She alleges she was shopping inside the mall when she slipped on a liquid that was on the floor in the food court area and suffered injuries.
Robertson claims Deerbrook Mall's negligence for failing allowing the dangerous condition to exist, failing to inspect the premises and failing to correct the condition and make it safe for customers. She also claims Deerbrook Mall failed to give adequate warning despite their employees knowing that the condition existed and the potential for injury. Robertson alleges as a result of her fall, she suffered pain, mental anguish, loss earnings and incurred medical expenses.
Robertson seeks monetary relief of less than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Donald DeSimone of The DeSimone Law Office in Houston.
