Man alleges spilled beverage at Twin Peaks caused his fall

HOUSTON — A man alleges he slipped on a spilled beverage near the bar at a Houston restaurant and suffered serious injuries. 

Kyle Barrett filed a complaint April 7 in Harris County District Court against Avalanche Food Group LLC, doing business as Twin Peaks Restaurant, alleging negligence and liability. 

Barrett, according to his complaint, was at the Twin Peaks restaurant on Katy Freeway in Houston on Oct. 13, 2021. He alleges that a he "violently" slipped on a spilled beverage near the bar and landed on the hard surface floor. 

Barrett alleges Twin Peaks' negligence for failing to hire, supervise, train and retain competent employees. He also alleges Twin Peaks' employees did not provide him competent assistance after her was injured or promptly clean the area to avoid the hazard. 

Barrett claims as a result of his slip and fall, he suffered substantial damages including physical injury, mental anguish, lost wages and incurred medical expenses. 

Barrett seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by M. Obaid Shariff of The Shariff Law Firm in Houston.
