HOUSTON — A mother is alleging she suffered injuries after tripping on an uneven sidewalk at her daughter's daycare facility.

Jerinda W. Watson filed a complaint Aug, 3 in Harris County District Court against 11212 Perry Road LLC alleging premises liability.

Watson claims in her complaint that she was at the defendant's property on Perry Road in Houston on Feb. 14, 2023 to pick up her daughter from daycare. She further claims at the time, she was pregnant and that while walking on the sidewalk toward the playground, she fell where there was an abrupt elevation and suffered serious injuries to her ankle.

Watson alleges the defendant failed to mark the elevation in the sidewalk and that they reasonably should have known of the dangerous condition on their property. She claims as a result of her fall, she suffered pain, impairment, disfigurement, loss of earning capacity and incurred medical expenses.

Watson seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief.  They are represented by R. Keith of The Weber Law Firm in Houston.
