Bradley is pleased to announce that Dustin Appel and Andrew W. Bell have joined the firm’s Houston office.
Mr. Appel joins as a senior attorney in the firm’s Construction Practice Group and Energy team, focusing his practice on commercial litigation and international arbitration, particularly in the energy sector. He utilizes his background in economics and accounting to work with clients and experts on damages modeling and other financial aspects of litigation. Prior to law school, Mr. Appel worked for several years in Russia and Central Asia in logistics services and public accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Appel served as a law clerk to the Hon. Barbara J. Houser, chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. He received his J.D. (summa cum laude) from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas.Mr. Bell rejoins Bradley as an associate in the Oil & Gas Law and Construction practice groups. He represents energy sector companies in complex oil and gas litigation and has extensive experience litigating multidistrict and class action royalty cases in both state and federal court.
He also works with upstream oilfield companies in contractual, commercial and catastrophic personal injury disputes. In addition to his oilfield experience, Mr. Bell represents clients in a variety of commercial and construction litigation matters, including contractual disputes, business torts and employment litigation. He received his J.D. (magna cum laude) from the Texas A&M University School of Law and earned his B.A. (cum laude) from Schreiner University.
