Aminah Ding | The Ferguson Law Firm

BEAUMONT - The Ferguson Law Firm continued its pattern of unprecedented growth by adding Aminah Ding as an attorney, a February 2023 graduate of Baylor Law School, a press release states.

“Aminah is the embodiment of faith, grit, and commitment,” Paul ‘Chip’ Ferguson, managing partner of The Ferguson Law Firm, said.  “She came, literally, a long way to be here and we could not be happier to have her.”

Ding is a native of Mainland China where she attended China University of Political Science and Law in Bejing, China, where she earned a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She also excelled as a member of the university’s women’s soccer team.

Ding was fascinated by the spirit of the American jury trial system and traveled across the seas to attend Baylor Law School. She was outstanding there as well. She was the only international student enrolled yet excelled in her studies. She also completed an in-house internship at the legal department of Magnolia, contributing to the expansion of Magnolia Market at Silos.  She was also the Research Assistant for Baylor Law’s signature trial advocacy program – Practice Court. She was also a member of the Order of Barristers and Transactional Competition Team, the press release states.

For all of those accomplishments, Ding is proudest of her pro bono work. She volunteered at the Baylor Law Veteran’s Clinic and provided legal assistance for indigent clients at the Baylor Law Estate Planning Clinic. Since coming to Beaumont, she has continued those efforts by volunteering with the Jefferson County Bar Association Veteran’s Clinic.

“Aminah is a fantastic hire,” Ferguson said. “She brings a very diverse approach and intellect to our representation of clients. It is invaluable.”

Ding’s work is in litigation, a passion of hers. She works most closely with law firm ownership partner, Jane S. Leger.
