HOUSTON - A lawsuit seeking up to $1 million in damages has been brought against LA Fitness and alleges that a woman was injured when her shower chair broke.
Alleging negligence and premises liability, Adamina Silva filed the suit Feb. 23 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on May 26, 2022, Silva was using the handicapped shower at the defendant’s premises. When she sat on the provided chair, the chair came off the wall, causing her to crash onto the floor, which resulted in her injuries.
