The Houston Bar Foundation introduced Linda Hester as the 2024 chair at the Foundation’s annual luncheon in March. Hester, an alumna of UHLC (LL.M ’11) is joined by three fellow Law Center graduates on the 2024-2025 HBF Board of Directors: incoming director and past HBA president Jennifer A. Hasley (LL.M. ‘95) of Hasley Scarano, L.L.P., director Andrew Gratz (J.D. ’02) of LyondellBasell, and treasurer Richard Whiteley (J.D. ’99).
Hester succeeds Monica Karuturi from CenterPoint Energy as chair. According to the Houston Bar Association announcement, “Hester joined the HBF Board in 2022. She retired in 2022 after 30 years of practicing law in Houston - first at firms, and then in the legal departments of ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66. Throughout her career, Hester has been an advocate for pro bono service, representing clients through Houston Volunteer Lawyers and the Tahirih Justice Center.”
Among the other HBF Board of Directors are Stephanie Noble, Sejal Brahmbhatt, Monica Karuturi, Alistair Dawson, Krisina Zuñiga, Sara Keith, Benny Agosto, Jr., Holly Chastain Nini, Diana Gomez, and Christopher D. Northcutt.
The Houston Bar Foundation was established in 1982 as the charitable arm of the Houston Bar Association.
