DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Andrew Walker as an Austin-based partner in the firm’s Private Equity Practice.
Walker’s practice focuses on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, the creation of new business platforms, and serving as outside general counsel.
His notable experience includes: representing a private equity sponsor and its portfolio company in a 50/50 recapitalization with another private equity sponsor; representing a private equity sponsor in its acquisition of a drug diversion monitoring company; and representing a private equity sponsor in its acquisition of a music company powered by innovative technology that was created as an alternative to the traditional music business model.
