Blank Rome is pleased to announce that Jayme L. Butcher has been recognized as a Woman of Distinction in Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s 2024 Awards of Distinction.

Jayme is one of 10 women recognized for their “exceptional accomplishments in their respective fields, and for serving as role models to Girl Scouts today.” The 2024 Awards of Distinction honors trailblazing women, celebrates exceptional Gold Award Girl Scouts, and builds critical support for the Girl Scout mission.

The honorees will be recognized at an awards event on May 15, 2024. The signature event boosts charitable support and awareness about the positive impact of Girl Scouts in their local communities.

Jayme L. Butcher is a Pittsburgh-based litigation partner and co-chair of Blank Rome’s firmwide commercial litigation practice. As a business litigator, Jayme assists her clients in a wide variety of disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, financial regulatory issues, and other business torts. Jayme handles litigation matters across the country and has first-chair experience in federal and state courts across the United States. Within her broad disputes practice, Jayme focuses on intellectual property disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets/ non-compete cases, employment disputes including discrimination and wrongful termination, as well as financial regulatory issues, and a variety of other complex business matters.

Jayme was honored with a Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) President’s Award in May 2022 for her outstanding commitment as co-chair of the PBA Large Law Firm Committee and for developing programming such as workplace issues tied to the pandemic and putting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts into practice; and for supporting the PBA’s adoption of a Seven-Point Wellness Pledge that encourages law firms to implement work/life balance guidelines. In 2022, Jayme co-chaired the 50/50 Women on Boards’ Pittsburgh Conversation on Board Diversity, and she sits on the board for numerous nonprofit organizations including United Way, Project Theia, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Pittsburgh Women’s Alliance.
