Alex Lee Denley has filed a lawsuit against The Village Learning Center, Inc. in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, under the case number 2024-20993. The filing was made on April 3, 2024.

Denley, a highly verbal special needs student, alleges that while under the care and supervision of The Village on January 12, 2024, he was physically assaulted by two employees of the defendant: Rochard Spencer and Dontez Givens. According to the complaint, Denley was riding on The Village's special needs bus when the assault occurred.

Denley is seeking damages for severe physical injuries sustained during the assault including lacerations and bodily injuries as well as mental anguish caused by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), high levels of anxiety, frequent nightmares and loss of enjoyment of life.
