Home Depot shopper claims box fell on head, sues for $1M

HOUSTON - Home Depot has been hit with a suit seeking up to $1 million damages that claims a box fell on a shopper’s head. 

Alleging negligence and premises liability, Mary McKinnon Edwards filed suit against Home Depot Products Authority on May 29 in Harris County District Court. 

According to the lawsuit, on March 13, 2023, Edwards was at a Home Depot in Tomball walking down an aisle when, suddenly and without warning, a box fell from a top shelf and struck the plaintiff’s head.
