Suit claims H-E-B employee pushed train of carts into shopper

HOUSTON - A lawsuit seeking between $250,000 and $1 million in damages is alleging an H-E-B employee pushed a train of carts into a shopper. 

Alleging gross negligence, Alex Gaines filed the suit on June 6 in Harris County District Court. 

According to the lawsuit, on April 2, 2023, Gaines was at a Houston H-E-B when an employee suddenly pushed a train of shopping carts into the plaintiff, causing injury. 

“Defendant failed to notify anyone or place any warnings, barricades, or spotters to warn of the existence of the train of shopping carts,” the suit states. 

The plaintiff is represented by the law firm of Armstrong Lee & Baker.
