The Financial Times (FT) has nominated Reed Smith for five North American Innovative Lawyer Awards 2024, including, for the second year in a row, Most Innovative Law Firm of the Year.

Innovation in Generative AI Strategy – Reed Smith’s Chief Innovation Officer Dave Cunningham is highlighted for taking the firm’s innovation offering to the next level with the expansion of its data framework; a new global intelligence system; its first director of applied AI, Rich Robbins; new generative AI tools, including an evolving partnership with Harvey; and more.
Innovation in Using Data – Reed Smith’s Records & E-Discovery team is honored for its Data Inventory Survey Tool for clients’ information governance, privacy compliance, and e-discovery readiness.
Innovative Lawyers in Healthcare & Life Sciences – Life Sciences and Health Care Industry partner Sarah Cummings Stewart is honored for leading the firm’s Post-Dobbs Pro Bono Committee in bringing the business community together in the fight for maternal health care rights.
This marks the third year in a row that Reed Smith is among the most nominated law firms at FT’s annual Innovative Lawyers Awards, having garnered seven nominations in 2023, and five in 2022. The awards, which honor “the best in innovation from law firms and in-house legal teams in the North America region,” also recognize “leaders in digital innovation, strategic advice, talent management and driving positive change in the profession.”
