Thomas Brown, a resident of Houston, Texas, has filed a lawsuit against his neighbors Mary Ajang and James Thieu for repeated trespassing incidents that have disrupted his peaceful enjoyment of his property. The complaint was filed on October 21, 2024, in the Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas. Brown alleges that Ajang's erratic behavior, attributed to her mental health condition, has led to multiple instances of trespass and damage to his property.

According to the petition, Brown has lived at 11715 Forest Wind Lane for fourteen years and began experiencing issues after Ajang and Thieu moved into their home at 11723 Forest Wind Lane. The plaintiff claims that Ajang suffers from schizophrenia and often refuses medication, leading her to exhibit aggressive behavior. Police reports attached to the case describe Ajang's pattern of taking plants from neighbors' yards and "relandscaping" them elsewhere in the neighborhood. Brown details several occasions where Ajang allegedly uprooted plants from his yard or left unwanted items on his property.

Brown states that despite numerous police interventions, no long-term solution has been reached as authorities classify these incidents as civil matters. He recounts specific episodes on July 15 and October 4-5, 2024, when he returned home to find significant disruptions caused by Ajang's actions. These events prompted him to seek legal recourse due to the damages incurred and the ongoing distress caused by the situation.

The plaintiff is seeking both monetary compensation exceeding $100,000 for actual damages related to property restoration and loss of home value due to its proximity to a disruptive neighbor. Additionally, Brown requests nominal damages for each unauthorized entry onto his property and exemplary damages citing gross negligence on Thieu's part for failing to manage Ajang's condition responsibly. Furthermore, he seeks injunctive relief requiring Thieu to prevent further trespassing incidents by closely monitoring Ajang’s behavior.

Brown also demands a jury trial as part of his pursuit for justice. He is representing himself pro se in this matter without legal counsel listed in the filing documents.

This case is being presided over by Judge Gerardo Perez under Case ID 2024-72895.
