Julianne Jaquith, a Partner at Quinn Emanuel based in the Houston office, will be a featured speaker at the 13th Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration, co-hosted by the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), the Institute for Energy Law (IEL), and the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Houston.
Julianne will be Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Roundtable, presented by Young ITA, IEL’s Young Energy Professionals (YEP), and ICC Young Arbitration & ADR Forum (YAAF). Additionally, she will moderate a panel discussion titled “Two Sides to Every Arbitration Clause: Negotiating Key Contractual Provisions for an Energy Arbitration.” This panel aims to examine critical provisions within arbitration clauses—including applicable law, seat, and the number of arbitrators—specifically in the context of energy project contracts. Utilizing hypothetical scenarios, the panelists will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various provisions, providing insights into the preferences of parties based on their distinct business objectives.
